Perhaps we could have a Miscellaneous section, for questions that don't fit anywhere else?

He/she was complaining about the lack of use of the sub section for crosswords. I pointed out that we never see him/her answering questions on there so they should mind their own business. And no it was not a raw nerve to me but I thought it ignorant.

i agree with you jan, i wish i'd seen the actual post,
lankeela, shaney & jan have put you in your place so i would stay down under if i was you, as for calling us on Q&P's "pathetic brainless idiots" you really should look in the mirror, perhaps a case of jealousy on your part ? it can't be nice when you know some people are far more superior in the brain department than yourself, shame on you lankeela i thought you were better than that !

Never been to Australia in my life, and probably never will so the chances of me staying down under are rather remote.
And I wasn't complaining about the lack of use of the Q & P section for crosswords, in fact it was the opposite, saying I thought that was the only subsection that WAS needed, so they could ask their crossword questions all together in one place and the rest of us didn't have to read through all their clues, which they seem to ask even on the same day the crosswords are published, rather than try to work them out themselves.

Now who is brain-dead then???? Didn't you see them before you submitted your question????
Another one who obviously likes their name in lights

Yes I saw them, but as Miss Ed in the blog dated 2nd November told us this was the last chance to make suggestions before the new round of updates I thought it would be helpful to put in a reminder in case it got forgotten.
Also there were some more recent posts where people had said they were not sure where to post some questions, so this was for their benefit as well.
I'm not all bad!

lankeela - judging by all your answers in animals & nature (pets) you are obviously an expert in your own field, just as we are in Q&P's, you don't have to read through all the clues so why do you go there? seems a bit silly to me to go to something you're obviously not really interested in, and why should you make any suggestions as to how the Q&P section and subsection should work when you don't know anything about how us puzzlers work? can i make a suggestion to you - stick to your own subject and we'll stick to ours.
Actually I do enjoy Quizzes and Puzzles, but don't enjoy trying to work out the answer to 4 down when I don't have a clue what the clue is, as some people don't even give a clue, just ask for the answer and give the name of the publication. Thats why I feel there should still be a subsection for crosswords.
Here is the actual post wording:-

Question:
What is the point of the crossword subsection, if there are still loads of crossword questions on the main Quizzes and Puzzles topic? I think this is one of the few topics that needs a subsection so the pathetic brainless idiots who can't be bothered to work out the answers can at least be kept together in one place without annoying the rest of us genuine Quizzers and Puzzlers.
