Granted, bloody spellchecker. Grand Marnier!!!
Cointreau
Cointreau is also an orange liqueur, so similar. Good in puddings and sponges etc. As a drink, I dont know how they compare. Havent had grand Marnier for decades.
Although Cointreau is also an orange liqueur I wouldn’t say it tastes the same as Grand Marnier. Last year I bought an M&S orange brandy liqueur hoping it would be the same. It wasn’t.
GM is heavier and more oakey. You won't get an exact replacement.
Yes, it’s brandy based whereas others are white spirit based..the sort you drink not the sort you clean your brushes in :)
Grand Marnier has a secret formular ,that is NEVER disclosed to anyone apart from the official blending team !
There are other Orange liquers , but not exactly the same ,.
Why do you want a similar drink? why not just buy Grand Marnier?
^^^ Not everyone's got £19 to fork out for a 500ml bottle, APG!

(OK, that's Waitroses's price. It's a bit cheaper, at £18.50 in Asda and significantly cheaper at £15.50 in Sainsbury's but products such as Bols Triple Sec are cheaper still at around a tenner for the same size bottle)

That's right Chico!! Looking ahead to Xmas, my DIL only drinks Grand Marnier and it is expensive.
I have an empty bottle and was wondering....................
Don’t go there Sharon, she’ll never forgive you!
Get DIL to bring her own .....! You know that moment when she says 'oo what can I bring?'
Its Xmas! £19 for a Xmas treat is ok, get the real thing

Aunt Polly, she drinks like a fish. Even 2 bottles won't quench her thirst!!!
Aldi usually have 'substitutes' for most branded liqueurs. How anyone can down more than two glasses let alone two bottles beats me - its really sickly.
Buy one and calmly say - 'I know this is your favourite so bought a bottle so you could have some'.

No need for further conversation.
Make your own I am sure she would appreciate it

Rockrose I'd rather buy a bottle, the thought of finely peeling all those oranges does not appeal.

Buy a cheaper version pop it in a pretty bottle and tell her you made it.
