Amazon Refund...does It Exist?

I get a monthly subscribe and save order. It includes several different, separate bars of chocolate. I received my order on the 9th. Opened a bar tonight, and it was soft, discoloured and had obviously melted. I went through the return process but at the end no joy. I then used the "further help" option...another brick wall. Now, I understand why a food item is not returnable...but why is there no option for a refund?

Looking at the item listing,  there is no statement as to whether it is returnable.

For food?

Last month I got an instant refund on a damaged bottle of capsules. No return required.

I was hoping I would for this too. It's not the money...its getting a product that's unusable.

I have had a couple of Amazon refunds, albeit not food items.

Have you tried the online help. Usually very good. You might need a photo

If you opened it only to-night, where has it been since the 9th?

Was I supposed to open it immediately upon receipt?

It was stored with other chocolate...I've just checked the 2 other different bars from the same order. They are both melted in the same 'pattern'...if that makes sense.

Probably been in the van in the heat for too long.  It must be refundable as it isn't fit for purpose.

Pasta: As advised by calmck, use the online support (chat) and tell them that the chocolate is damaged produce. I've done this several times with subscribe and save.
