why do we study history

why do we study history? we still make the same mistakes..so..

hello beam me up, can i be nosy and ask you what period of History you are studying? If you are struggling we may be able to help relate the studying to the present day.

hey sweetie....ummm...the whole lets make peace and then kill each other and all the wars...and who cares about how the indians lived and such...how does that effect my life?

people say we do so we dont make the same mistakes but we do...like we have no other choice but to do wut we know ... and all we know is history, and our past mistakes.....thanx dot.hawkes if u can help me understand

No I don't think you can understand the History behind any of that beam me up, and caring how the 'indians' lived won't help much either, maybe you should try to focus on the future eh? Best plan i reckon.

I loved learning British history at school, I liked the sense of identity it gave me, your ancestors etc.....was interesting stuff!

No idea how you'd check out your family history, guess the obvious way would be to do a family tree.

Ummm, well i got an English accent yes....my accent is very very similar to Daphne's off Frasier, we both came from the same city, Manchester.

Great Britain is made up of England, Scotland and Wales. So as i live in England that would make me English AND British, if that makes sense to you!
