Hi,
I have a beech dresser and beech desk in my room, am looking at buying beds at the moment, and seen some good deals on pine beds (I'm on a budget for a 3/4 size double) Is this going to be a decorating faux pas though to put beech and pine in the same room?

thanks

they are entirely different colours but its your own taste that matters, if you dont mind the colour difference it wont matter what anyone else things, there are also some good offers on chrome/metal beds tho and that may be better as a contrast rather than mis-matched wood?
It wont look too bad, as long as you are not concerned with it looking like a 'set'. Could you stain/varnish the beech furniture to make it match the pine? It would need to be solid wood for you to do this as opposed to beech veneer.
aargh, ruin the beech rather than the pine??? stain the pine if anything lol
now now.
leave it be, a mix is unusual and contrasts well when the sun shines in the room.
our laminate in the hall is darker than the living room and bedroom, our dresser is lighter and out mirrored wardrope is lighter, it looks fab.
and my mate said so too when she seen it.
