If you use your common sense, no problem.
Going out without a survival kit on a long trip would worry me.
Dont use the cruise control in slippery conditions!!
Other drivers keeping their distance

I always find that worrying in the snow Rov.
..other eejits texting about the awful conditions. sheesh!!
All are concerns, in the background, but none actually worry me, until they occur.
Other drivers being overly cautious. Accelerate gently, use your gears to slow down not your brakes and don't potter along at 15 mph

Definitely having an accident. Last year, i went arse over tit! That'll teach me to wear heels when it's belting down with snow. Doh!

I quite fancy being stranded... depending on where and who with :-)
Lol. Just realised the title of this thread is "Driving conditions". Sorry, i thought it just meant general winter worries... hence my answer about being stranded and going arse over tit!
My worries are...Will the car start ok.(Hasn't yet failed)....Will the clutch play-up again and stick after travelling a mile over the common from my village and I try to change down into 3rd gear.(Only happens in very cold weather.)

If the battery is the check able type, check it. use the gears more often.
Hi TWR....No problem with battery.....The gears are changed at least four times before hitting the end of the common where I change into third to descend a hill which has a 30mph limit.

I think it is an element of condensation in the clutch cable which freezes when going over the common. So I pull-in and manually (by hand) activate it a few times...then no further problems for the remainder of any journey.

Hi, If its possible, smear some grease on the cable, work it a few times then add a bit more,
Thanks TWR....I must try it.
