yes
Yes. For up to 31 days per annum. Insurers to be notified.
Yes, but check your Insurance.

Certainly am, don't do it often, but yes.
We're not all drivers! Why all these car questions?
I have 365 days cover - costs a little more but.....
ALL vehicle insurance policies issued anywhere within the EU must include the minimum statutory 3rd part cover required within any EU country.

So EVERY person here (who drives, with the minimum level of insurance required by UK law) is AUTOMATICALLY covered to drive legally anywhere within the EU. (Obviously additional cover, such as fire & theft or 'fully comp', isn't automatic and, equally obviously, neither is breakdown cover)
I will be when my new burka arrives
This question is undoubtedly related to some advertiser.
Yes, and I always ask my insurers for a green card as well as it would save a lot of hassle if I did have an accident.

Chris, I think this might be a "default" position. A friend whose car we were going to use to go to Limoges this summer showed me his insurance documentation. he is adamant - and the documentation appears to show - that he waived the ability to drive in Europe in return for a 10% discount on his premium. getting it changed fell in the too-difficult box, so we're using my car.
