Visa For Uk Passport Holder Going To Balarus
Hi
I am a UK citizen/passport holder wishing to visit Belarus for tourism purposes and have established from the Belarus Embassy website that I will require a visa. I will be in Belarus for only about a week so from the website it seems that I need a class C single-entry visa. This involves a visit to the embassy in London presenting my Passport, a colour photo of myself, and a completed application form.
On the website there is a statement saying that they have made the visa application process more simple for European visitors and no longer require a letter of invitation from whoever I would be staying with in Belarus.
On the application form there is no indication of this simplification and there are still boxes to fill in such as where I will be staying and who I will be staying with, and also telling me I need to provide letters of invitation.
I guess they may have not amended the form but I don't want to go all the way to London without all required information and have to make a repeat trip!
In fact I will be staying at hotels, hoping to rent a car and travel around before getting a train into Poland, so I will have no letters of invitation and no address as I will not book the hotel till later (I intend travelling in August).
I would be grateful if anyone who has gone through this process could let me know the latest situation, plus any other tips regarding Belarus.
Thanks in advance,
