Made in China. Wonder what sort of chips they put in that? Looks like ZM has been lucky with his faultless fault free EV. As for me. Theyr'e for the birds!

I would like to be in total control of my vehicle thank you Mr Xi

Well done by both the driver and the police ...

This sounds absolutely terrifying. Not keen to swith to electric after reading that horror story!

How many electric cars are on the roads and how many have had this problem?

The first from what has been reported but how many thousands of new cars of all marques and makes experience recalls for various faults. This is unheard of but I wouldn't risk it even if they diagnose the fault. If I wanted to drive an EV I would of been a milkman.

well at least it didn't spontaniously combust!

Give it a chance TTT. It was a brand new vehicle. The batteries were only just warming up I guess.

I'll get one when the flux capacitor is perfected and I can run it on garbage!

He "couldn't jump out at 30mph because he was disabled".

IMO had he not been disabled and had jumped out at that speed he'd almost certainly end up disabled, or severely injured.

Tom Cruise gets away with it.

It's an Indian Shilo Pitt, sullying the mighty MG name. Maurice is no doubt impersonating a Giro as we speak.

I thought MG was now built in China.

That car was built in China

What a load of tosh.

All he had to do was push the brake pedal hard.

An attention seeker.

I've had one for over 2 years. I'd suggest there may be a driver intelligence/technology interface issue.

I wonder if he's related to the trucker from years back whose lorry was possessed by a similar demon and wasn't he found to be at the lash?

If nothing else we at least know where Police Scotland hide their few remaining resources.

I'm also a bit curious about the roundabout that slowed him to about 15mph when all else seemed to be failing.

More news later I'm sure, or he'll just be quietly hospitalised for observation.

Oh that'd be why plod couldnt stop it moveing after blocking it and the RAC fella found pages of faults.

It's just a rogue motor, happens and lets not forget ICE cars are controlled by electronics too, more and more each day.
