not yet....maybe in next weeks locals. Will update if/when crime is reported.

Just beware for now.
Not sure if you are making a point or just offering a warning.

Albania is not a muslim country, so wearing a burkha for disguise is the equivalent of pulling a stocking over their heads. Do you think stockings should be outlawed?
No Stockings should be compulsory for ladies obviously! tights should be outlawed.
Geezer,

Absolutely. I knew eventually we would find some common ground.

Are you naive enough Gromit to think only Muslims are able to get into a Burkha?

Let me explain a person walking down the street in a Burkha could be male, female, Church of England or Catholic, and would not warrant a second glance.

But a person with a stocking over their head????????

I could have said crash helmet. My point is that it is a disguise. You cannot ban legitimate clothing because someone else uses it for criminality.

Oops 'approximately'.
naomi24,

Although most Albanians still associate themselves with religious groups like Muslims and Christians, a majority do not participate in religious services. According to the latest statistics[49] and to the USA Government data, most of Albanians today are non religious:
54.96% Atheist
15.83% Agnostic
10.33% Orthodox Christians
9.43% Muslims (Sunni)
8.09% Roman Catholics
1.27% Bektashi
0.6% Christian Protestants
0.1% Evangelist
0.6% Others

from your link
...most Albanians are Sunni Muslim by virtue of the nation's history

which means that this was the case before the fall of the Ottoman Empire in the 1920s.
I blame that Joanna Lumley
