hardyj05 - you probably aren't aware of this, but the word "chav" has been discussed on this site so many times, it has become very boring.  Not that I'm directing this at statement at you, because as I've said, you probably aren't aware of this.

Anyway, I read somewhere that chav means �lliterate, violent, ignorant person of bad taste. Hope this helps.
