You've Got To Laugh Haven't You?

Is there really no other thread? I thought this was a wonderful puzzle. Not quite as fiendish as I expected given the setter, but still a really tough challenge. The theme was familiar enough, although the creature itself long forgotten but, once enough evidence was assembled, it was only a Google away. And the final PDM was witty and well-concealed, resolving an early doubt. A perfect Listener, thanks Sabre!

Well, not this time - it was a classic Sabre puzzle, using every trick in the book - and a few which probably aren't - to make it difficult. The creature eventually fell, but the modified entries were very tough indeed. Thanks, Sabre!
