My apologies to the rest of you...look away now!..what follows is addressed to Gammaray.
Since you raised the subject, I feel I can tell you, without appearing to be a braggart, that I gained a Master's degree in English over 40 years ago and spent the latter half of my working life - post military service - teaching the subject at various levels including university. My IQ is in the 150s and I have been a voracious reader for over six decades. I think, therefore, that I can claim to be pretty well-educated, pretty knowledgeable, pretty bright and pretty widely-read. (I can't really claim to be pretty pretty!) The fact that I can handle Internet information and have some writing skill, too, is just a bonus. Thank you.

smudge, why is something that is contrary to popular opinion "Unnecessary"? I am after all only offering an opinion. In this case about what I consider to be the difference between being intelligent and possessing the ability to aquire and use information. It wasn't a personal attack on QM or the others. You would have read, had it not been banned, in the final two paragraphs I went to great lengths to offer my support for QM and other posters.
