Many thanks sarumite & paulineward. I shoul have gor 1d sore - I can see it now. I can understand 20d & 28abut don't think I would have got them and I don't think I understand 25d although the notes refwer to music.

Good morning granny grump . . perhaps I should have explained 25d more clearly .. (mind you I'm no expert on these cryptics either)!

"Turn" indicates that the answer is also back to front, so music = notes = set on = radio playing.
