MM Links Solutions September 2007 [Week 3]
19 Answers
This is the third week in the reign of the Crown Jools and I can now reveal that our bejooled setter chose the following links.
cross PATCH
SPOKEN word
JIGSAW puzzle
quiz MASTER
The Crown Jools didn't fool many of you this week. Hoardes of you were scoring once again with two thirds of entrants adding to their points this week - 7 of them with double hits. Surprisingly, all the matching words were found within an unbelievably short time (under 3 minutes) but two of them proved very difficult to match for most of you. Details below:

Christiana was within the 2 minute window for the latter and gets a bonus as well. The Third link went to Grenmus who found QUIZ MASTER for 2 points and once again Christiana was within the 2 minutes and added 2 for that as well. The final link was spotted at 9:03 when sarumite plumped for the SPOKEN WORD.
The remaining double-hitters were burgess3334, country_boy, rogerr, slaney, teacher1 (courtesy of his daughter)- mostly for JIGSAW and MASTER.
15 others scored a single point for just one match.
For being the first to score a double hit, I declare AllyLally to be the 'HOT SHOT OF THE WEEK'
I think I still have enough beads on my abacus to calculate the accumulative totals for the first 3 weeks of September . . .

The standings after week 3 are therefore:
Still out in front on 8 Points is former champion rogerr.
The chasing pack on 6 points comprises:
Christiana & Grenmus
Just behind them on 5 points are:
AllyLally & ulysses100
And also within striking distance on 4 points are:
Elspeth, FoxLee, paulineward & sarumite
The tail is getting more strung out now with 10 players on 3 points, 13 on 2 points and 10 on a single point.
A big welcome to this week's newcomer - Sonyme who picked up a point immediately.
Last week's newcomer, Murielmci scored another point this week (for a total of 3) indicating that it is perhaps the strong Scottish air on our mountains that clears the head for this game.
Congratulations to current leader rogerr and 'Hot Shot of the week' AllyLally.
Wasn't it fun?. Until the same time and same place next week then, this is your stand-in scorer, gen2, anticipating more great scoring next week, signing off for the last time this month and handing the reigns back to crofter for the remaining two weeks.
HAPPY LINKING EVERYONE

Thanks gen2 for proving such an able substitute in the absence of crofter!
Well done AllyLally for being the hotshot this week .. and also rogerr for continuing to head the field.
Hopefully my two points will not endanger membership of the Freefall Club, where the Ont-ices continue to cement their places with yet another low score!! ☺☺

(a) Many thanks for the break gen2. I knew that I had made a good choice!
(b) Well done to Crown Jools for working outside your "comfort zone" and finding out that it truly is a lot of fun!
(c) What a surprise to see a new name in AllyLally who is committed to an early entry full of quality! A rising star?
(d) And what about Queen Barbara II aka rogerr?
Keep on in there girl!

So! One each this week which is better than our average of zilch.
Keep it up rogerr I'd like to see you back in charge even if we weren't on your wavlength either.
Thanks Gen2 for keeping score and thanks Jules for a lively mix.
Welcome home to Crofter and don't forget to get your abacus back from Gen2, after all it is the boobie prize.
Congratulations to all the folks who were able to score.
