I'm bored of having straight hair (I don't straighten it, its naturally straight) and fancy having curly hair, however I don't want to have to curl it every morning, so.....basically I want hair kinda like this http://www.ukhairdressers.com/style/index2.asp?R1=1098&month1=&pg=1&styl1=R.%20Anderson i.e. not really curly, kinda straight at the top but curly lower down (just like the pic really) could I get some kind of perm to make it like that or not? advice needed!! thank you =)

Just thinking that if you get it permed and you don't like it, then your stuck with it for a while. Plus I'm not sure that a perm would necessarily come out straight on the top and soft curls like the one you like in the picture.
you can get a loose perm, that should turn out like that, but i would try and see what its like living with curly hair first as its a pain, my hair is like this http://www.ukhairdressers.com/style/index2.asp?R1=6132&month1=&pg=1&styl1=Zullo%20&%20Holland and its hard 2 keep it straight when u wont it ie when it rains, when there is mositure in the air. so think about before u get it done.
After washing your hair, dry it a little bit with a hairdryer to take the damp off. Then twist the pony tail until it becomes a bun! (Low down, not on top of your head). Fasten it losely with a scrunchie. When you are ready to leave the house, undo the scrunchie. The lower half of your hair should be wavy like the pic. You can spray hairspray onto the bun to fix it a bit, or use a product through your hair before tying it up.
