I also keep all my receipts ...not because I'm anal...but because I can offset them against tax and vat. I only have new cars ..so no history.
I needed a new car in a hurry. I'd only got a few hundred quid in the world (even after running my cards up to their limits). I was working for a Ford main dealer and asked what they'd got 'on the line'. (i.e. recently traded in and not yet prepared for resale). They'd got just one car in my price range (bought in at £300 in a part exchange deal, available to staff at £350). I gave it a quick look over, started the engine, peaked under the bonnet and agreed a sale. I didn't even test drive it!
Everyone needs a hobby.

Yes, I have the lot T.T.T., that's just about right for you Baldric, picking at straws again, why are you like that? do you get pleasure, you know exactly what I mean.
Question Author
To add T.T.T. I am that sad that I wash / Steam the underside /bonnet / the alloys are taken off every couple of months to do a good clean of the rear of the wheels, ( Brake Dust can affect the alloy if not properly cleaned) on the Model I have there are some unseen recesses that hold muck, these have also been cleaned / Greased.

These days we just have new cars. When I bought second hand cars, I never bothered, if it came with a load of paper work I would flick through it and keep I but never sought such detail.
Question Author
To add Baldric, do you honestly think your New car is New? look in the fields around the M11 ( Not sure of the area) BMWs in there hundreds parked up & all. as you may think " Brand New" They cold be in that field for 1 year before selling.
Question Author
Could
TWR...my present BMW took 14 weeks to arrive and had a build date 2 weeks before delivery.
Question Author
As said, just off the M11 there is an Industrial Estate South Bound, there was a field / compound at the back of this estate that Housed 100s +, I used to carry out of other ports, Sheerness , Hull , the North East, Avonmouth, the amount of cars that was parked up showing signs of rust you would not believe.
Lol, it is good to be passionate about something TWR.
Question Author
Passionate comes into It when / If I sell the car Randy £££££££££££

Always purchase Ex-Demo Beemers TWR, much better prices, only car we've bought new for ages was the Yeti, no demos available of model we wanted.
Question Author
I am the 2nd owner of this Coupe, it has the service history, Del /check list / Inspection Data, I checked up with the makers for any recalls & obtained the proof ( I'm a sad sod) I like things right, & when I sell they have to be right. I have principles & it niggles me when Dealers / Traders try to rip the public off.
