online store that i can't contact?

hi i ordered an item online from tjphomegoods.com and ive sent off the order form that i had to print off to the folling address (Tyrell Corporation, Street, Town, County, UNITED KINGDOM AB12 3CD). My order is still pending and i sent it over a week ago, they will cancel in a couple of days if they don't recieve payment. Can anyone help with this, maybe a phone number cause they don't have one on theyre site.

All-in-all the website looks very iffy to me.

Very strange site - all additonal details say "This can be managed under Documents - Site Documents in the admin control panel" - where is the admin control panel?

It won't let you order unless you have read the terms and conditions but there doesn't appear to be any so how did you read them? or did you just tick you had?

Have you actually sent a payment? You say they will cancel in a few days if they don't receive payment. If you have paid I'd try to stop the payment.

I've just checked for Tyrell corporation on the companies house listing and there isn't one.

If you are sending a "check" it says please make cheques payable to company name Limited.

I wouldn't order for here that's for sure

That site appears to be no more than a test document. It has been compiled from standard shopping site software but the company name and address have never been entered into the relevant fields, neither have the 'terms and conditions' or the 'contact us' details. It's impossible to order anything from the site (but, equally, it's impossible for them to take money from anyone).

The domain name was only registered a few months ago and it looks like the company has yet to get off the ground. If it's genuinely UK-based it would be illegal for them to trade on the internet without providing a postal address but, since they've not started taking people's money yet, they're currently doing nothing illegal.

The person who registered the domain name has used 'WhoisGuard' to hide his (or her) identity. That suggests that it's a 'one man band', planning to operate from a home address. Big companies never hide their identities because (a) they're in the public domain anyway and (b) they've got a proper business address, rather than something like 'Flat 5, 6th Floor, Mandela Towers, Clapham'.

The site is actually hosted on a US server, but that's not particularly unusual (or suspicious). To email the site owner, highlight the following email address (by holding down your left mouse button while dragging across the address):

Right-click and select copy. Create a new email. Right-click in the address field and select paste.

I see that AB has cut off the end of that email address. My instructions will still work, but only if you add 'om' to the end of the address (so that it ends as 'whoisguard.com').

I'm puzzled as to why motionless hasn't come back and clarified for us whether he/she has paid. I'm also puzzled why he/she put an address in the posting ( I assume it was for illustration purposes rather than the actual address, but why bother?)

Anyway, if you do a websearch on tjphomegoods.com you find some entries where someone called Mark Greenhow has this at the end of his email address, e.g. on

Thanks for the feedback guys, i tracked the letter that i sent with payment details.I had it registered and it's on it's way back to my address. Must be a dud address, I wasn't sure about it as I live in ireland and I wouldn't be sure about british postcodes, thanks for the heads up!

Hi, I had a similar experience with this site: http://www.davidshomegoods.com/ I ordered a kettle and it had a form to fill in with credit card or bank info - i guess to be mailed or emailed. Aside from the similar name it has the same address on the bottom of the form (Tyrell Corporation, Street, Town, County, UNITED KINGDOM AB12 3CD). Maybe it's just a way to get bank account and credit card numbers. I'm from the US and did not feel comfortable sending the info without checking into it first. I'm so glad i found your question.
