New AB lay-out
11 Answers
Does anyone else think that the Science board has suffered now that its within the Technology & Science Group? I always check science first, but nowadays there are very rarely new questions.
I hadn't used the site for ages, since my internet went down. But when I started coming back and the lay-out had changed, it seemed to me that the science board had really suffered...... or do you think its a unrelated coincidence.
I think a Technology Group would be a good idea; with Computers, Electronics & Internet sub-groups and then a Science Group as before, any takers?

The AB people have ruined a very simple and useable site by crippling it with these new obstacles to efficient browsing. Have they never heard of the combo box with drop downs? A perfectly good HTML widget without geting all Java or asp with the sub-headings.

I'm with you lot. Science is the biggest loser. It used to be a very popular category with good questions (and some reasonable answers) but know it has been relegated to the armpit of the site the questions are drying up. Why can't we have it back as a separate category? I suspect its because the editor is secretly a christian fundamentalist.
I'm with you all too. The Science category is just not the same.
I've answered hardly any questions since these changes were made and it stands to reason that AB'ers must be just as inquisitive about science topics as they were previously.
The whole layout is either putting people off posting or confusing them - I've noticed that some questions that would have been more appropriate for Science have started turning up in other categories since these changes were made.
Bring back the Science category ed - I'm not ready for redundancy yet

Science on it's own has got my vote too, nothing to do with technology and the internet really in my opinon and should never have been relegated, I love it down here in the labs even if I very rarely have answers (quite often have questions though) and I often read the threads without commenting.
I've done a thread in Suggestions and have asked for it to have it's own category back (along with a few other ideas), perhaps you guys should go and suggest too. There's lots of people want Science to have it's own home so you'll get support.
According to the blog, the Ed is reading sensible suggestions so perhaps if we all shout loud enough normality will be returned...
