I've had a text message from 'GOVUK' wanting me to click on a link the claim the £400 payment. I didn't bother clicking it as I'm 100% sure it's a scam, not sure that GOVUK would have my mobile number! Just to warn others.

not sure that govuk would be falling over backwards to give you £400 either . . .

I received this last week and nearly started to fill it in. I then looked at the Scottish Gas website and it says the payment will be made automatically and you don't have to do anything. Reckon another scam.

Yep, I got that too, clearly a scam.

The link url is not .gov.uk and the money goes direct to your energy provider, you cannot personally claim it from the Government.

We are not getting a £400 lump sum. The money is being paid directly to our energy providers at a rate of £66 per month
