Governor of the Bank of England Andrew Bailey has been  telling the working class not to ask for pay increases to help curb inflation ..But meanwhile he has handed a pay rise to his own staff  ...one law for them.. etc

Some people haven't had a pay rise for years, and where they have, they have been nowhere near the rate of inflation. Wage rises have had nothing to do with the rate of inflation for the past 4 years. Wages have been chasing prices.

NMA @ 21.08 There is a vast difference Between 4% of junior doctors pay , Nurses  pay and Bankers pay , and the first two have to work for it.

Bank of England staff will include lowly paid clerical staff as well as professional investment managers. Do you begrudge them getting 4%'?
