I watched an episode of 'Allo 'Allo the other day and laughed just as much as I did when they were first screened.  Brilliant!  The writing is second to none.  So clever!

Zebo that was Adrian Hood along with Big Glenda played by Sue Cleaver who ended up in Corrie as Eileen Grimshaw

Ever decreasing circles - I loved it at the time but I haven't revisited it since, so it may not hold up to scrutiny.

Dinnerladies - sublime.

Blackadder II and IV - comedy writing at its' finest.

Keeping up appearances - the earlier series, it went on ust that bit too long.

Early Doors - once again, matchless comedy and pathos mixed.

The plot of the 'real dad', as a stepfather, that really resonated with me.

JTH I enjoyed Ever Decreasing Circes too

Men Behaving Badly and Blackadder Goes Forth.

I really miss Not The Nine O'Clock News!

Don't forget Count Arthur Strong. Free Biscuits! 😉

Not Only . . . But Also

I've got the Early Doors series on DVD. One of my favourites

I still sometimes put on an episode of Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps. Will Mellor, Natalie Casey, Sheri Smith, Kathryn Drysdale and the versatile Ralph Little who had been in the brilliant Royle Family and has just finished playing a detective in Murder in Paradise. He was a fair football player too.

Chris, that clip of Not the Nine o'clock News was a brilliant spoof of the serious Malcolm Muggeridge interview about Life of Brian which was broadcast after the film went on general release.

i tend to enjoy more mean spirited humour so i would say

Not the Nine O'Clock News

Blackadder

I'm Alan Partridge

Brasseye

Nighty Night

Monkey Dust

there are some others i like that ended years ago but they probably don't count as old

my favourite Not the Nine O'Clock News sketch... very rude but very funny

for anyone who never caught monkey dust...

Agree about Allo Allo - actually I know one of the scriptwriters from it and he has said that it was a blast to work on.

Early Ab Fab - June Whitfield and 'Saffy', Julia Salhawa are brilliant in it as well.

V of Dibley, Rising Damp - and also a Tom Sharpe fan as Monty P films and some sketches along with the Cambridge Footlights. 'One Michaelangelo to see the Pope' for example:

Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em reminds me of AB, sometimes.

Never missed an episode of Auf Wiedersen Pet or Rab C. Nesbitt.
