I asked for some advice about this a while ago and am reporting back.

At the weekend, we planted 80 mixed begonias, twelve blue pansies, twelve deep purple pansies, and twelve yellow marigolds, in it.

It looks spectacular and I'm sure will look even better in a few weeks as all the flowers expand.

Many thanks for all the suggestions, if I knew how, or was inclined to, I'd post a photo of it 🌸🌼🌺

I think that you will find that the Pansies will not see the Summer through. They are happier in the cold weather, even tolerating frost, than when the weather is warmer. When they go, be ready to put in Gazaneas or Mysanbreanthemum (Livingstone Daisy) Both those love the sunshine and are relatively pest tolerant in that slugs, snails and caterpillars do not devour them. You will need to get replacement plants handy on or there will be none to have.
