After being presented with evidence that her husband was playing away, my friend cleared off to her daughter's for a few days to think things through. She returned at the weekend and they sat down to thrash the matter out. He begged forgiveness, swore it had only happened a couple of times etc etc so she decided to forgive him. Last night he went out to the chippie to buy their tea....an outing that should have taken him 10 minutes max. He returned FIVE HOURS later, without the chips and swore blind that he'd got caught up in a drugs raid in the chippie!!! She noticed that he'd come home with his sweatshirt on inside out. She promptly packed his bags and threw him out. What a weasel that man is.
wolf.....c'mon, if your husband went out for the fish and chips and was gone for 5hrs, wouldn't you have investigated. Anyway a seasoned philanderer would have a better excuse rhan that.
maybe she did investigate?
i'm sure after the conversation they'd just been having she'd gradually grown more and more p***ed off that he still wasn't back, hence why she didn't believe him when he did return (with a rubbish excuse) anyway, there's nothing to investigate if she was planning to chuck him out as soon as he did walk in!
squad - my mum's grandfather went to sea during the war and took 5 years to come back.
Upon his return he discovered that he had a new child in the family - he sussed out quickly that the boy was not his. Not sure whether it was that the child was 4 year old or whether it was because he was a half black little boy that gave it away - we will never know.
wolf 63...I quite understand, but going to sea for 5yrs and going to the chippy for 5hours are quite different.
Surely after onehour....2 hours....3 hours etc etc even if you were going to throw him out, you would make a few phone calls.........to the chippy.....to the police......to the hospital.....whre are my fish and chips???
i think if i'd just had that conversation with him i'd assume he was with the other woman and not bother ringing round to find him. like you say i'd be more concerned about my tea going cold!!
