Annoying fast images

I find that more and more programmes use a series of very fast images as a (lazy) way of starting the programme e.g. Formula One today. Does anyone else find this very annoying and hard to watch?

Aye, I can't accuse Noggin the Nog of annoying, fast images!
It's just the way the segment was edited together. Doesn't bother me at all...

I mean.. I assume you're talking about the Lewis Hamilton/McLaren piece? It was just clips from his time with them so I can't really see any other way they would do it.
This is how visual media are edited these days. If you look at old films you'll usually find far fewer jump cuts, in fact fewer cuts at all. I believe the idea is that young people have such short attention spans that you have to give them something new every second or so.
