A spell checker that works in the Question box.

A quick method of selecting one's past posts in one's profile, perhaps a date selection, anything that is quicker than having to go through them 20 at a time.

Symbols, that show that a question or answer is either 'tongue in the cheek' or 'sarcastic', because some sometimes try and get out of an awkward situation by later saying "it was only tongue in the cheek" or " I was being sarcastic".

Yeah, or a "thumbs up" sign? And maybe a middle finger one for ones you dont?
Like the middle finger suggestion, B00! Can't see Ed going for it though!

(Do like your new avatar, by the way!)
that would be rude B00, just a swinging /dodgy would be enough (showing my age now)
lol, ta on both account 2SP x

a swinging dodgy dotty?
Surely if you have a reasonable command of the English language it should be possible to make the context of your post clear to all, unless of course they don't share that competency.
perhaps AB should have a supply of these

/// We could do this - but most members use a built in spellchecker in their browser. ///

I also use FireFox spell checker, but it only works in the main window but not in the smaller question window.

If I am not sure of a correct spelling in the question window I type it in the main window and when it is shown to be correct I copy and paste into the question window.
How about showing person's nationality with their profile? and perhaps age although our female members might object to that.

ummmm

/// A like button would be good. Save us having to type 'lol' ///

'LOL' can be used in a complimentary way, meaning I thought that was very funny.

But it could also be taken in a sarcastic way, meaning don't make me laugh.

Funny : Ha, Ha or Funny : Err!

Good idea, I'll start it off.
