I like a "BLT", bacon, lettuce, and tomato, on sourdough French bread. But, I wouldn't pass up one of your sandwiches; they sound truly delicious, but I haven't tried one.

I'm not sure I know what "salad cream" is; could that be what I call "Mayonnaise"?

There are loads of fillings which I like but the one I keep coming back to is stilton cheese & mango chutney on wholemeal bread. I discovered this combination on a trip to London and it was worth the rail fare just to taste this marvellous combination.

Chris
marmite!
grape, apple and brie with rocket! yuuuuuuuuuuuummmmy!
i prefer baguettes to snadwiches, but i love cajun chicken with fried onions . Or chicken, melted chedder, and fried onions, pretty sure i would like these in a sandwich, but it might fall apart!

sundance - salad cream is a british thing made by heinz and its lovely. its not mayo but its creamy and has a tangy vinegary taste.

get someone to send you some from a brit shop or in the post - it can be found in sachets as well as bottles so would be easy to post.

my fave butty is avocado and brie with onion relish, mayo and salad. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm.........

Im not a big fan of salad cream myself (because my brother makes salad cream sandwiches- just salad cream - and then eats it like a pig, its literally dripping all over his face, which has put me off forever)
I like a nice cheese and onion sandwich, but it MUST be accompanied by a strong cup of coffee, have no idea why. If coffee is unavailable I would choose prawn mayo.

im reading all these replies at 9am and its making me hungry already !!!!
Cheese & onion crisps in crusty bread or a bread roll.
I have to say mine is smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwiches. They are the best, but if it's simple or cheaper then tuna will do me.

Cream cheese, celery and walnut-delicious!!

Houmus and salad make a great combination in a sandwich!

Prawn with just a little bit of mayo is lovely.

And how about a plain white bread and butter sandwich with strawberry jam? Yum!

Egg and Tomato sauce (made like egg mayonnaise, but use tom sauce instead of mayonnaise)
You can get them in most bakers style shops, but my favourite has to be: Hot Roast Pork & Stuffing sandwhiches with extra Crackling......hmmm, wonder if they're still open?
Tuna mixed with finely chopped red onion, black olives and anchovies topped with hard boiled egg.
Prawn salad with seafood dressing, or pork with red onion.
Mature cheddar & home grown toms between two door steps of freshly baked crusty bread ...... add a wee sprinkling of salt, a splash of malt vinigar & I'm in sarnie heaven :)
Roast chicken, crispy bacon and stilton! I discovered this at the quite-wonderful Loafers sandwich shop on Conduit Street in Lichfield, Staffordshire. Marvellous.
My son loves peanut butter and cucumber!!!
