Out Of The Mouths Of Babes- Diet Coke.

Hi there
I had lunch today with my brother his wife and 3 children. It was great. After lunch my little nephew who is only 6 took me to one side and asked why I had a can of diet pepsi at lunch. I told him that I enjoyed it. His response to me was amazing he told me that everyone knew that diet pepsi was bad for me and I should know that !! Later when we went out for dinner I had another diet drink when we ordering but my sister in law said that her children were only having water at the meal. I asked her about it later and she says she does not allow her children fizzy drinks. I am wondering if she knows something I dont she is a GP.

The average pH of soft drinks, e.g. Coke, Pepsi is pH 3.4. This acidity is strong enough to dissolve teeth & bones! Our human body stops building bones at around the age of 30. After that, it'll be dissolving about8-18% of the bones each year through the urine, depending on the acidity of the food intake (acidity does not depend on the taste of the food, but on the ratio of potassium /calcium / magnesium / etc. to phosphorus).
♦To clean a toilet :
Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the toilet bowl. Let the "real thing" sit for one hour, then flush clean. The citric acid in Coke removes stains from vitreous china.

Diet anything contains sweeteners which could be cancer-causing.
Look up each sweetener on the can and google it. Not nice and amazing they are still legal. Also drinking fizzy pop causes you to crave sugar - diet or not- and this can create a sweet tooth where you crave sugar in other foods. Drink water and the craving goes away. Water will benefit you and fizzy drinks won't- simple as that.

I often carry a small bottle of tap water with me and have a couple in the car. Cost: nothing. Danger to health: minimal.
If you buy a meal in Wetherspoons or Brewers Fayre they provide soda water - even a pint - free!!! And often they will ask if you want slices of orange, lemon and lime as well as ice - all free.
Ridiculous but that's the system.
