morning, Sunday already where is the time going. I hope that you are all as well as can be and that your day is a good one. I am off to a Christmas party around 12.00 and am looking to that immensely. We went to see the new Spielberg film West Side Story, which I highly recommend, a faithful adaptation if not a bit grittier than the original, with a brilliant musical score, probably my favourite of all time and fantastic dancing.

morning 1ozzy, I am ok, bit of a sore throat, but that's probably because we had to sit through the whole thing wearing a mask.

i didn't sing, but silently mouthed the words to all the songs, brilliant brilliant score,

I will just take a bottle of wine, as this is at a friends house not at the church.

just to make sure of no covid, i finally did the covid 19 Lateral flow test, which was negative, whew... I had a struggle to do it, following instructions isn't my forte, so i enlisted my friend in helping, and then the result..

because it was an afternoon film perhaps, there were only a handful of film goers, which surprised us, we had expected it to be packed out.

Instructions are only a guidance, in my humble opinion.

I've never been very good at following them and I don't intend to improve before I'm 6 foot under.

i got very stressed about doing the LFT, but my friend is calmness under pressure and showed me how it works. Job done, no covid.

I've managed to dodge covid, probably easier for me as I live in a small town.

i have worn a mask in shops, chemists and on the buses, perhaps they do have some use after all.

There are no buses, trains or taxis where I live.
But I mask up whenever I enter a shop, or a crowded place.
Look after yourself and others.
It's not that difficult to do.

no i guess not, but quite honestly it was a pain wearing it for three hours at the cinema.

no one noticed the little tears that flowed during some of the songs, surreptitiously wiping them away, oh dear.

Understandable, I love removing my mask.
I don't like wearing it at all.
But, safety first.

the songs are magnificent, not a dud amongst them, and yes i did shed a few, but i do at the original WSS - the song One heart is so beautiful would make a grown man cry...

I've been known to shed a tear or two for random reasons.
But don't tell anyone.

i don't think my friends noticed, they were too absorbed in the film.
