Amazon - Two Items Received Instead Of One

The courier has delivered two of the same item instead of one.  I've checked my order and I definitely ordered only one and have been charged for only one.   I've looked to see how I may return the extra but Amazon's website doesn't seem to cover anything like that.  Any ideas anyone?

Unless it's very high value they probably won't be bothered about a return.

It's not high value.  Just a little rug - £23.99.

If you really want to try and return it if you go to your orders and find the item then on the right there are usually  list of boxes such as track package, return item, contact seller etc etc but there is a lways a 'return item' box

Yes, but at least you'd have got rid of an item you didn;t want and your conscience would be clear if you returned it with a note saying "duplicate" or  something like that. They may or may not refund you, biut if it was me I'd just do my bit and leave it to them.

We had that a few years ago, they told us to keep it.  Probably costs them more in courier charges and admin to have it sent back.

Try amazon chat...they are quite helpful. You'll probably start with AI...then get switched to a real person.

Chances are they will tell you to keep it.

If you click on return, there is the, "Arrived in addition to what was ordered" option so you would select that and add the details in the comments box.

This has happened to me, I got to keep the item.

I have, Prudie - and I've asked for a postage paid label - but all the electronic messaging assistant says is 'All right, I won't send your message to the seller Prime Dispatch.  Please provide more details and attach any documents or pictures that could help them better understand your question'.

 

It's not told me what happens now.  I wish I hadn't bothered!

My husband thinks that message means they're not going to bother. with the return,  I'll just wait and see what happens.  Thanks for your help everyone.

If you don't hear anything within a week, give it to a charity or someone who hasn't got much. 😀
