It cost 10.4million to keep him alive, working on that figure as an average how much could we save if they brought back the death penalty. How many doctors and nurses would that fund.
Provided he doesn't end up scattered on Saddleworth Moor it doesn't much matter where his ashes go.
He's dead; he died unmourned and with no-one to regret his passing.
The coroner refused to release remains until a guarantee of any ashes not being scattered on Saddleworth Moor.
This suggests that some weirdo is lurking in the background making such a suggestion otherwise why even bring such an unlikely event up?
I didn't think there was anyone who'd want to collect his ashes.
They should be disposed of quietly by an official, and not released.
I want to see someone say:

it is not lawful for a coroner to say - I will release the body so that it can be disposed of, in any way but one ( scattering ashes on Saddleworth)

anyway they would be ashes by that time so I wouldnt have thought that his nanny powers (coroner knows best) extend to the disposal of ashes....

(yes I am aware that the hsitory of cremation involves an incredible victorian freak called Dr William Price)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Price_(physician)
[ I thought he exposed the body of his dead son outside a welsh chapel until he was allowed to cremate - but the article doesnt say so. ]
Douglas has said exactly what I was thinking. I can't find any reference that someone has actually asked that his ashes are put on Saddleworth Moor, why has this even come up?
Maybe they were his last wishes?
I care not a jot where his ashes end up,nor do I wish to know .
Allegedly it was his demand that his ashes be scattered on the moors
Does it really matter where his ashes is scattered ?

He is dead and that is the only thing that really counts.
I don't suppose it does matter where his ashes go but I ,for one, would be appalled if they were scattered on Saddleworth Moor.
Bertrum, do you have evidence ? I don't believe it,
Anne, do you have a dictionary at your disposal?
Well it's not going to happen , good
For God's sake......does it really matter where his ashes are scattered, the wind and rain would scatter them far and wide....Saddleworth Moor, Lumley Road Skegness, Twickenham.........it's a NOTHING.
from the telegraph..
"Mr Sumner said he wanted assurances that Brady's ashes will not be scattered on the same moorland where he and Myra Hindley's five child victims were buried - a request Brady is believed to have made in his will."
probably this is where bertrum read it anne
I am tending to agree with Sqad here. This truly awful and evil man is dead and he is still dangling us on a piece of string.
Sqad
for god sake yes it does matter to all the childrens relatives, it would be a final b****y insult to them
Ivor....I take your point, but I disagree...........
