Temporary Tattoos
I was just wondering what temporary alternatives are available to tattooing, albeit ones that last weeks rather than hours!
I like the idea of a tattoo as a flashy fashion statement, but I absolutely don't want a permanent one, so I'm considering temporary alternatives.
Until now, I've been using star transfers from Claire's accessories. They're 3.50 for a sheet, of which I like about 4 of the designs, so it works out at around 1 a tattoo. The only issue I have with these - because they look realistic when on - is that I can't put them on my legs due to hair.
I'm considering what alternatives there are. I've tried drawing a star on my hand in liquid eye liner, which works reasonably well but can smear in sweaty nightclubs and I look like a jerk! Also, it needs doing every night I want to go out.
Other sites list new "jagua" tattoo ink which lasts a few weeks/months and is "completely safe" (I have read about the unsafe 'black henna' and know to avoid it). Is this any good?
And does anybody know any other alternatives? Are airbrush kits from Boots any good? Stencil and ink kits? Should I just use biro? (haha) Are there parlours that can give me a tattoo that will last a few weeks?
I'm keen to know and appreciate advice. I've done internet research but seem to be getting no further.
