Every so often I get almost a lump just below my sternum, it feels like something is getting knotted. It happens if I lean at a certain angle, for example, I have my iPad only knees at the moment and I lent over a little too much and it happened. It has happened when I have lent forward to straighten the carpet. Is this something to be concerned about (when it happens I panic but it goes quite quickly although I am concerned that it will just 'stay' like it forever). Thank you.

Hi Jenna, I can feel the end of the sternum withou doing that. It's just like a muscle is knotting (comes and goes rely quickly but it takes makes feel like I can't breath, so it's quite frightening - I almost forget that I have had it before and that it does go away, hence the panic).

I get this a lot and presumed it is like a muscle cramp because that area becomes noticeably hard and feels knotted. In my case it is really painful. Personally, I wouldn't worry.
