If you have had BOTH vaccinations and can afford the documentation and going to a green colour country and would collapse into a jabbering mass if you missed out.........then go.
If you don't comply with the above then stay in the UK.
the weather is rubbish here, certainly at the minute, thats why people go abroad to get some much needed sun. to relax and chill after what's been a traumatic year or more. I don't blame anyone wanting to get away, i am somewhat envious of them.....
ael I can only assume you either don't holiday abroad or don't care much if you do. This is the second year people can't holiday abroad and for some it is indeed hard and has been a big deal. I get more than irritated at those who are so dismissive about foreign holidays - before the pandemic it was all my husband and I worked hard for. Like many others, it's our highlight in life.
Confusion? Maybe, stirred up by the travel companies and airlines who want to return to 2019. The "confusion" is because people really want to go on holiday to France, Spain, and Italy.
totally agree Prudie, its what i used to live for when working, several weeks in Greece, then Italy, and beyond, for sun, for new people, different foods, and just the joy of waking up on a sunny morning, looking out to crystal clear skies, and blue come and and jump in seas.
oh I can shorten that to - - -
my advice is - go next year - -- simples
The chance of uninsured short order change of rules is too great. So you are stuck in an english port with a huge hotel quarantice bill or stuck in one abroad - - - and they have you credit caaaaaaaard!!!!!
^^^ NO! The confusion is because this traffic light system has been created and in reality you can only go to a couple of places. Hancock himself was all over the papers saying you will be able to holiday abroad this summer. I don't know the date but it was about 6 weeks ago. I didn't dream it. I have a deferred holiday myself to an amber country that I though I could go to with 2 jabs, test and quarantine and all of a sudden in the last few days it's don't go to a amber country. Holiday companies are only behaving like this because the government has given them reason to hope and now they are snatching it away. Like I said, farce.
And will you be saying we shouldn't have opened the borders when someone brings back the Greek variant or the Turkish variant that are resistant to the vaccines and spread more easily? Or do we just ignore concerns about the so-called Indian variant?
Prudie I’m afraid you’re peeing in the wind as I was yesterday , fact is, it’s my choice, my money and my risk and has nothing to do with anyone else !
