Cramp & Pins & Needles in the morning

Hi

I have recently been waking up in the morning with cramp in my hands and pins & needles in tips of my fingers which lasts for hours, could anyone suggest why and should it be something to worry about.

Could be carpal tunnel syndrome, commoner as you get older. Approx age?

28, I also get cramp in the side of my palm and the muscle visabilly contracts.

In that case I'd get it checked out, probably nothing but needs investigating.
Do you take any medication for any conditions?
I'm asking because cramps can be a side effect of some medicines.
