James is a more common name than Janes so easy mistake to make especially when you have a bad eye. The mothers grief must be dreadful and in that situation you are going to be angry but this is misguided anger

I think some people may be being taken advantage of at a vulnerable time by journalists and encouraged into making a fuss that supports the editorial line of those newspapers!

What you have to remember is that she has just lost her son so is in an emotional state. Yes, it was probably an honest mistake and easy to make but all she sees is that this letter spells his name wrongly.
When my dad was dying in hospital they spelt his name wrongly on the board above the bed and we took it very hard also. It is as if they don't think of him as an individual so can't be bothered to get it right.
A person's name is what makes them an individual rather than just another person.

you don;'t need to bother correcting my spelling, this site is not an exam board, i don;t ever see you pulling up the other 100 or so posters each night and there are dozens of errors, you only do it because of a long standing grudge against me which i ignore, whereas you are too petty to move on.
