I've been seeing a man for about 7 weeks. my name is Sara (rhymes with Lara) but three times (so far) he has called me Sarah. I'm seriously p***ed off, especially as he knows it is something I hate.
forgiveable (again) or not?

chuck my my 20.52 post was a serious one. my response about being childish was in response to her 20.57 post. i will not post on this topic because seems my response is misunderstood and taken out of contex.
i'm disappointed in you Chucky, you usually appear to be brilliant and have always given me excellent advice in the technology department.

well I don't know what your name is, bag.lady, but you'd get mighty p***ed off if people used another name on you, I don't care how similar it is.
is it okay to call Mike "Mark"? it's similar but it's not right, is it?
you can't attack someone for wanting people to get their name right. if you've read from the beginning, this is a potential partner. it matters.

Ok, I've gotta stop using UK examples...lol
But, do you know...Up until I was about 20 (basically when I moved to the UK..Ahem!), everyone reading my name would pronounce it wrong. Still happens now when I go to visit my mum in France!! lol See, "Morgan" in French, is pronounced completely differently whether you are a girl or a boy. Unfortunately, I had "original" parents, who insisted on using the boy's version of it.....As it's meant to be in Gaelic!
Basically, I spent 20 years correcting people (including the very funny "so they thought you were a boy" comments....
I think my living in the UK can be partially due to my name, actually! lol
