Lots of working people get LHA, whether you get a mortgage depends on how much you want to borrow and what your repayments were compared to your wages Elley, LHA doesn't come into it really.

I'm not sure I need to qualify how or why my brother got a mortgage for you EDDIE, they are certainly there to be got despite the recent tightening up but I will say that my brother earns a respectable income, had a good deposit, his job is secure and he applied. Things are never as difficult as you think they are if you swing things the way people want them swung or frankly at the moment no-one would ever get a mortgage.
