All I've had is texts.

But in their defence I don't do presents or cards.

It's a nice day though. A day of doing nothing.

I did get my mother a card and present and the MIL.

No idea Baz, it's the same in Germany if I recall. I think it's something to do with the UK having Mothering Sunday as some sort of church thing.x

When we lived in Germany I got a double helping, Mothering Sunday and Mutterstag a bit later. Apologies if I've got the German name wrong.

It's a very sad Mothering Sunday for me as my darling Mum died a few weeks ago. I miss her SO much.

gkids over yday (MIL gets priority), kids raced over fields leaving gates open for animals to wander. Bounced on swimpool blowups flattening them. Sword fenced with pool tools, belted out radio 4 in barn, rolled spare tractor tyres over yard, chased cats onto barn roof, left animal feed barrels open to rats, made dens in hay store, locked dogs in caravans to chew cushions. Mothers day ..... bah!

Got a weird thing going on later. Because I'm not there my brother is going to stick up a tablet at the table to facetime when all the family have Mother's Day lunch for my Mum and Nan, so we can be involved, which I thought is nice of him. Not sure how (or if) it'll work yet, but go him, I thought that was really thoughtful.
