I would suggest finding a hobby that you enjoy doing. You may meet someone doing that. If not then at least you are getting out and meeting people. Off the top of my head you may enjoy birdwatching, dance lessons, surfing.............

Why don't you take some time out to learn to be by yourself, and enjoy the company of your friends. Once your happy in your own company you'll stop placing importance on being in a relationship and will thus avoid getting into bad ones for the sake of being with someone.

I know of lots of decent men and all say similar things, yes there are decent men out there and yes there are decent women out there.

Yes do tkae up a hobby, change your social circle, go out with friends to random places and who knows you may meet a new circle of friends.
