... With crab.

Will it work? The cheese is Gouda. I'm considering my options for dinner without having to go to the shops.

Thoughts?

Why? I mean why spoil the crab? I can't eat eggs I'm allergic to them but, I would have a cheese omelette and have crab salad or save it for tomorrow. If the crab's got ti be eaten up, then I'd do scrambld egg with crab and eat the cheese separately.
I think I'd leave the crab out, and have it separately with a bit of salad or whatever.

Beware of cheese omelettes, though.

I made one at short notice 30 years ago for a girl I'd just met, and she was so impressed that we're soon celebrating our 25th!

Thanks for the warning Venator.

I thought I could sense a crab salad on the horizon. Might go the scrambled route or just leave the cheese to the side. I have oyster sauce, water chestnuts and spring onions so a crab omelette by itself would work.

But then, the idea of a cheese omelette is quite appealing.
crab cakes are more appealing

This is true.

cheese and crab omlette is only kind of like a cross between crab meunier and crab gratin but in an omlette, i think it sounds quite nice actually, lots of seafood dishes are made with cheese so i can't see why crab wouldn't work with it.
I'm now fancying cheesey chips.................
got any noodles Ed? prep some, stir fry some shredded green peppers and a green chilli grate in a small amount of lemongrass if you have it and the zest of about 1/4 lime add to noodles and stir in the crab at the last minute
Have the gouda on toast tomorrow for lunch
