I had a tub of cottage cheese, it was in date but the tub looked as if it had been inflated. It didn't taste of, but now I'm wondering if I should have eaten it or not. Does anyone know why this happens? It happens with yoghurts too.

I dont know about cheese but if a yoghurt is "blown" it' is off.
Same with cheese, you will propably just end up feeling poorly.
its something to do with the bacteria in the cheese and yoghurt that makes them blow. Im not too sure what the exact thing is though.
