does anyone know where I can buy maple sugar, cream and butter from a uk mail order company? I know I can get it straight from Canada and the US but the p and p and customs make this very expensive.

Oh that Sticks and Stones was uncomfortable viewing but so good. Turned out ok in the end which was good as not everything has a happy ending these days.
Had nails done today. Darkish red with one gold star on wedding finger nail. Did some.last minute shopping for Mr N and Hija's stocking. We give Mr N a stocking (well a festive bag really) as he is so miserable about opening tree presents and can still have some open on NYday if we havent opened them for him. So this way he has to sit down early and open them!!!
Good a'noon....it was supposed to be dry today. It isn't.

My nails are dark red too, diy job, but they need redoing now. Might do the wedding finger green - vacant. :) I'm not sure I could stand anyone else doing them.
No other news.
I cant do mine as they are gel polish which ean they grow longer than they normally do and dont break. I've always wanted long painted nails but with my Lifestyle of sticking hands into sewers and all the other mucky things I have had to do, including years of handwashing it hasnt been possible. And they last a month!
Mine were Barry M Dirty Pink until I started doing some cleaning round for Christmas.Viakal or all purpose floor cleaner is very good if you run out of nail polish remover.I really should wear my marigolds but don't think before I start sloshing around.
No news here either apart from the fact it's been chucking it down again this evening and looks like more of the same tomorrow.
Hope you're all ok.
nothing but Amorolfine for my nails. I hope it's working, my thumb looks very manky.

Rod Stewart was excellent. 75 he is and full of vim. He did do an acoustic section of the show in which they all sat down and played and sang but considering he was going for two and a half hours, I'd have wanted a lot longer to rest. I didn't sit in the midde of crowd, Robinia, we were up high near the stage, bring your own crampons as the O2 is steep.

Evenin' all...don't want to talk about the weather :(

Oooerrr jno, I'd need dizzy pills up there...and what if you dropped your bag of mint imperials as we did at the cinema once? Clunk, clunk, clunk :) I 'spect you wouldn't hear it over the screaming. Do they still scream at Rod's concerts or just grin and bear the tinnitus?
My little old mum loved Rod, (and Vim), she'd stay up until the wee small hours to watch him on tv.

BTW I've been using O'Keefe's hand cream, it's very good. Anyone need a wd40 massage? :)
I couldnt sit there either. Sis andi went.to the hippodrome in Eastbourne right up in the gods and front row, well I just cried and made a fuss, so management gave us very nice seats in the stalls. We've tried it on several times since and it still works!! Mind you we were young and pretty then, now they'd probably put me away!
Dreadfully windy here, really frightening and crashing noises. My whirlygig was acting like a helicopter and whirled itself sideways across the patio. I left it, after removing the washing!
Hija is now on the plane during to arrive in an hour but then shes meeting friends so we may see her by xmas!!!

good morning all. I know O'Keefe's is supposed to be the bees knees but to me it feels funny and I can't stand it...like eating crumpets with too much soda in. Its filthy wet here and more forecast. I have given up caring
Hello. Hija arrived but went out celebrating until 1.30am. I didnt wake up which surprised me as she lugged a full suitcase, herself and handbagage through the door. But I bumped into her in the hallway at 3am when my bladder needed exercise! I was surprised to see her to say the least. I could smell she had been cooking!
Today we've all been to Waitrose again. Breathalized on way back but all ok, but although I wasnt driving it made me nervous! just eating a delicious old fashioned pork pie and pickle then feet up and Siesta time!!
Hello. Exceptionally windy here again. Ferries all being cancelled. I'm ploughing through a suitcase of hija's washing and of course it's all mixed colours! Wont use the whirlygig so am limited!
We somehow have been lumbered with feeding 2 cats in an apartment for 10 days, poor things, so will have to go there en Masse, to feed and attend to them. Hija leaves on Friday so guess who will be stuck doing it all end emptying the litter???
Hope you are all ok and prepared for xmas. We have to go on a turkey hunt tomorrow as they are few and far between. Lidl usually have them so will look there first. I also have the breast doctor in the pm!!
Morning all
Dreary one so far,raining again.
I'm a bit tired. We went to my nephew yesterday afternoon for a family gathering of the clan.
My brother, two nieces, husbands, partners, big greats and smaller great greats.Had a nice time ,drinks and he had laid on buffet food in his fabulous kitchen. Two glasses of fizz and I was away with the fairies. My brother did Father Christmas for the littlies. He really enjoyed himself.
Hope you're all ok .I might go and lie down.
Oh that is lovely shaney!. Nice to gather the whole clan once in a while! Hija is driving us mad, it never takes long!!! She has grandiose ideas about cooking and takes forever when all we want is a simple snack!!! I've done 4 loads of her washing and luckily it's all dried! Any ironing needed she can do it!
Afternoon all, it's been a milder sunny day for a change but a bit cloudy now. I've done a thorough clean of the house, it took me 30 minutes, that's thorough enough :)

That's a big gathering shaney, I hope you took your slippers with you :)

I'm on cat duty too but only 'til tonight I think. He comes and shouts at me through the window if I'm late.

Morning all...errrr, me.

Lovely bright one so far, I was out first thing to get bread from the (busy) cake shop. Now got enough to feed the five thousand.

How many sleeps until the first English strawberries? :)
I've just had to prove that I'm over 18 to the Amazon driver.I ordered a bottle of Asbach brandy and he wouldn't hand it over without proof so had to go and get my passport. How ridiculous.I look at least hundred years old:)
Lovely day here
All sorted with food.Mr S went and picked up the last few bits and there's just the order to collect from the butcher tomorrow morning.Hope you're all ok.

Good morning. Just not feeling Christmassy at all!
Gynae doctor doesnt think there anything serious to worry about with my bosom but having a mammogram anyway.
We had out yearly night out on Ibiza and I was so tired. Was so glad to get to bed. I may have already posted this!
Shaney we have to prove who we are, not our age, with every delivery from ebay or amazon or post office parcels but at least we dont get wrong or missing deliveries!
Morning all...I haven't felt Christmassy since the eighties. I don't think it's that I don't like it, more like this time of year doesn't like me.

I haven't had a brandy for years, you've started me off shaney. I used to love a Remy Martin or two.

Keep calm and KBO.

That sounds good neti, stay positive.
