does anyone know where I can buy maple sugar, cream and butter from a uk mail order company? I know I can get it straight from Canada and the US but the p and p and customs make this very expensive.

^too much maple syrup?
Morning all
Bit dull and dreary out there.
Went and got my hair sorted yesterday. No more blue bits. Not much doing otherwise.
Yes,it makes you feel washed out Woofy.Feel better soon.
Hello. We are at the beginning of another big storm. Warnings everywhere so we are all battened down again. 4 day storm expected ! TVs gone off again.
Shaney the trick with blue shampoo is to rinse it off immediately and even then its risky!
Question Author
have been feeling fed up today, no idea why
We're due some nice weather towards the weekend Woofy.Bit warmer but not boiling and plenty of sunshine, perhaps that'll cheer you up.
I don't know what to do with my hair Neti .Now it's longer and all one length as the highlights grow out the grey bits appear thick and fast. She showed me a lilac and silver coloured highlight.Quite nice but I think I'll grow it out a bit more and then decide.I've chucked the silver shampoo away.
Night all.
Morning all. I hope you are feeling better woofy. Rotten to feel bad for so long!
Huge storm in night and more on the way but I was ip early to swept the Caron beans from the patio and to wash it down before it all kicks off again! I am actually feeling quite chilly.
Carob beans that should be. I should check this stupid predictive nonsense but I forget.I type the correct word but phone then chooses 2 others and I forget
We've just been to Overseas supermarket in San Antonio (waitrose and Iceland to the uninitiated). We got so much, lovely English bread, kippers, shredded
wheat and so much more. Even discounted pies as they are nearing their sell by date which doesnt happen in Spain, So I bought some and popped into freezer for later! Hope they open a nearer one soon as Mr N does restrict my shopping somewhat!!!
I have also ordered a new duvet set in grey, white and yellow plaid on ebay(go me!) For when ( not if) he paints the bedroom!!
back from the dentist minus another tooth. Well, minus the root, the top half and the crown fell out last week. Rather than yet another implant the dentist's going to make a bridge, as the teeth on either side also have crowns on slight crumbling foundations.
Jno you poor thing. I had a bridge a couple of years ago but never wear it as the back molar that it clips on is sore. I dream if having a mouthful of teeth again! I'd happily ha e a set if dentures but the ones I've seen here are horrendous like something out of a torture chamber!! So I'll continue to suck and gum my food!!
Evening all
Crikey Jno ,not more dental work.I've got a bridge and never had any problems with it apart from when I broke it but it was soon fixed. If I didn't have it I wouldn't be able to eat or smile as it's across the front at the top.
Sounds like you had a good time in the new supermarket Neti.Nice for you that you can get some British food and treats.
I've done a huge online shop from the German deli today just in case they do decide to close down and go home and I wouldn't blame them if they did.
Off to the hospital tomorrow .Mr S has to have a check on his stoma so we're hoping the nurse might sign his proof of life form 'cos even the doctors surgery have ignored him in spite of asking, phoning and emailing the practice manager.Radio silence.Failing that I'll get in touch with a local councillor and failing that I shall write to our MP.He's been blathering on in the press and on the local news about how easy it's all going to be for EU citizens. It damn well isn't and I'll certainly make my views very clear !
Night all.
yes, that's where mine's going to be, shaney. I shall refrain from smiling until it's sorted.

good morning all. Damp start to the day here. As soon as my back unstiffens I will get coffee. I spent yesterday making a display stand for one of my nativities...I seem to have ended up with a collection.... Today will be carrying on with a pair of small cgrandfather clock cases, one of which will hold a clock (battery one) and the other a barometer. Its lovely to have room enough to craft again.
Good morning from a flooded isle! Its horrendous! We can hear dripping in the house but cant see where it's coming from ! So many roads closed due to flooding that its not worth going out.
Woofy I like grandfather/grandmother clocks , I love hearing them at night but my family dont!!
Crikey Neti.Stay indoors and stay safe.At least you've got some shredded wheat :)
Three cheers for nurse who signed the form. She's the same one he's always seen and is not a lover of red tape and jobsworths. She was very happy to do it .One less worry. We got treats in the M&S shop afterwards.
Sounds like fun Woofy.I like the Repair Shop where they remake stuff. One of my favourite programmes.
Nice day here ,warm and sunny but very breezy.
Question Author
same here Neti, I love chiming clocks but they send my Sis crazy so I don't wind them.
Well done shaney and Mr S, that's relief after all that trying!!
Weather had brightened so I nipped into village as feral cat needed tinned food, so had coffee and home again. Pool was overflowing for ages and making a veritable river down our land and to the road! I've even managed to wash one bed and get it dry although its not as quick or as dry as in the last few months!
Wind is getting g up again so have go to secure all outside stuff again. More storms forecast for tonight. I font mind them at night.
I find clocks chiming at night mournful, but comforting somehow!
