does anyone know where I can buy maple sugar, cream and butter from a uk mail order company? I know I can get it straight from Canada and the US but the p and p and customs make this very expensive.

Hello all. I've been watching Portillo too. I love his programmes. Was hoping to see Shaney waving!!
Sunny here but chilly so that's ok. Hija is here ruling the roost! But shes out tonight until Sunday and she leaves on Monday!!
I was quite good with computers and phones but am losing it!
Windows 10 jno? That's old now and I hate it but there's no choice. Cant record with it!!
Mine is running exceedingly slowly and I'm very tempted to set it back to factory settings but takes thinking about. I have way too many programmes not only running in the background but all over the wifi and internet and everywhere !
Really enjoyed out take away chinese meal but way too much and was looking forward to it tonight but think the hija has eaten most it!!
Hello.all
Damp but not raining here. Oh dear a few bodies are being washed up here and mainland. Its so tragic.
Can someone tell me what is happening to Cross Rail?
am I running a parrakeetarium here? there are six of them in the trees and one trying to work out how to get food from the feeder. It's really only for little birds who can get between the bars but pigeons have worked out how to get it swinging by flapping their wings. I don't suppose parakeets learn that in the Amazon.

neti, I think Crossrail is working at the ends - west of Paddington and east of Liverpool St, under the name of TfL Rail - but not in the middle, whihc is the underground bit. Might be finished next year, might not.
Thanks jno we were wondering what had happened to it as we had watched a programme about it and it was so interesting!
to watch the programmes you'd think everything was running according to plan, on budget and on time. This wasn't the case!

Its cold wet and grey here and I have got a stomach upset. That is all.
cold and wet and grey here too. Today's sleeping hours have been 6am-10.30am - breakfast break - then 11.30am-3.30pm. Perfect, if only
I was somewhere like Tokyo

I have decided that sleep comes when it will come and if that means I watch a lot of night TV so be it
Oh poor woofy. This is the reason Mr N often sleeps in hija's room when she is not here obviously
He is a bad sleeper and wakes up several times so he can read or watch TV and not disturb me! Once I'm awake that's it, I'm awake forever! Apart from pee breaks but I can sleep immediately after them!

It doesn't bother me Neti. I can stick to my own schedule :)
Morning all
Cold but bright. Hope you're feeling better Woofy.I've spent the last couple of days clutching a hwb to my stomach and necking peppermint tea and Buscopan .Feels like I've swallowed a football and someone's kicking it around my insides. It's gradually easing though.I think too much fruit and mascarpone cheese are the culprits.
Hope the rest of you are all Ok.

Shaney that's how I felt! can't put it down to anything except a bug though. Anyway much better now although really tired. I have got a proper dinner tonight!
Poor buddies. Hope you are recovering. Hija has gastritis so has delayed her flight back to Barça. She is also thinking of coming back here for the summer. I dont think I could cope!!!
Sorry buddies, I meant biddies!
Evening all
Not much to report.A dull day and not quite so chilly.Hope your daughter feels better now Neti.Lots of bugs floating about especially with the changeable weather. It's supposed to shoot up about ten degrees by the weekend
There's been no really no long cold snap to kill 'em off.
I've just realised that Shaney still has his Santa hat on.I'd better change it or it'll still be there next Christmas. Hope you're all ok.
it's beena bit milder, hasn't it. I went to the Destinations travel show yesterday, but it was rather frustrating knowing I won't be doing a lot of travelling until OH gets mobile and corona virus goes away.

Not that the exercise involved in walking round Olympia is helping me sleep at all.
Lovely and mild here and cockroaches appearing damn and blast. Just dont understand where they are coming from!!
Was having coffee at our pavement cafe and as a young Chinese boy walked past I had a coughing fit, well you can imagine the remarks and joviality!! It is getting scary though.
Yay Mr N's passport has been delivered so at least he is legal for Brexit!
Hello. EU calling!
