The older you get, the more cranky you get.

Those who manage to chill out and nothing really gets to them because it isn't important enough to get upset about; and those who get sick of putting up with the carp they have been putting up with all their life, see everything going down the drain as society becomes more and more ridiculous chucking away anything good, criticising anything from the past, and introducing more utter nonsense, and railing against anyone pointing out the idiocy; and consequently get a lot more cranky.
I think I'm firmly in the second camp. It may not be the healthiest option but I can't change my subconscious views that make me who I am.
I'm not sure if i posted the following some time back, put it was on tv, someone was interviewing a very old lady who lived alone. They asked what advice she would give to anyone who wanted to lead a happy and healthy life? She said KEEP away from other people.
My mum is 104 soon shes not set foot outside the house, ( garden yes) in about 15 years now, and shes alway cheerfull and even cracking jokes now and again, albeit the same ones.
So I do wonder if the lady interviewed on tv got it right.
I think the thing that irritates me the most is the way technology changes too quickly for elder folk to keep up with things.
And that kind of change normally means we as society don't mix as much. Where do I start, the internet and smart phones, have changed the face of society.
We no longer use banks, shops, post offices etc.
Ok maybe some shops, not all but as a human race we are very different to only 30 years ago.
This gives a reason to be frustrated with life. I grew up watching Tomorrows World, and thinking technology will make life so easy for humans, but if anything all its done is achieve more stress.
This list is endless, some establishments don't even accept cash anymore. I could write a book about this really. I'm just spewing out random things we have lost. Public phone boxes.
Banks, post offices.
