Why do you think that it is a military hospital? The nurses uniforms look just like my mum's student uniform from 1948 when she nursed suffrerers of TB and typhoid at Monsell near manchester
Dotty, I thought military hospital because a coule of these gentleman are obviously in uniform. Possbly not a military hospital then, just one that had an intake of soldiers. I still think that some of them look as if they may be prisoners of war, as they have uniforms but not British ones. Plus the fact they were in a lot of other photos of soldiers.
I think the metal style windows could be in either a civilian or military hospital, but there is one thing that may be worth considering, they are all outside and enjoying what looks like a sunny day, could that be to do with TB?
I see what you mean Dotty. My own Grandad had TB and so did my Mum. Grandad died in 1952 - 2 years before I was born. My Mum survived it. I do know they both spent time in the "fever" hospital. Doesn't really explain why they are wearing uniforms though.
