What eventually happened to Caradoc? I know he wasn't executed in a Triumph by the Emperor Claudius, but wonder if he was kept a prisoner for the rest of his life, murdered, enslaved, or released.

I suspect that his final story is not known for sure. A character known to the Britons as Caradoc, to the Romans as Caratacus and to Rolf Harris as Caractacus was the last to make a significant stand against the Romans. He was handed over to the Romans by the Queen of the Brigantes, whose protection he had sought. Tacitus describes in detail his entry into Rome, and makes it clear that he was held in high regard by the Romans. Then the account stops, unless of course someone else knows better ...
Apparently, Caratacus was so respected by the Romans, that both he and his family were allowed to live out their lives in Italy, and as already stated, the date of his death is unknown.

My Dad used to sing the Rolf Harris song to me when I was a child, Grunty. Thank you for reminding me of a very happy memory.
