We have this bush in the garden .When it comes into bloom it looks glorious and it's just starting now .However I have no idea what it is . It was here when we moved in nearly nine years ago .

And when a bedpan was needed, which I fought against until it was dire, it wasn't those horrible metal things I remember, it was a plastic thing shaped like a thing long clog and they put a big plastic backed absorbent padded sheet over and it was so comfy and of course no spillage, made the whole thing quite pleasant, and boy I needed it often!
mine has finally petered out, neti, but it's taken a week. The colds I've had for the last couple of years have been so mucusy.
I think the demon goddess Flatula has finally left the building as well, after a couple of days' residence. What on earth causes that? It's not like I've been stuffing myself on beans and broccoli or any of the usual suspects, or anything new or unusual at all. But I must have hurtled off to the loo 30 times yesterday and I am sore and aching. Are there any folk treatments I should know about?

hello all, I thought I had posted earlier but maybe I dreamed it. Hope the wonkies and honkers are feeling on the mend. We have had a useless day here. Got up early to go shopping and miss the scarey bottle lorry, headed off to local marks, got turned around because a nasty accident had closed the road so went to go the other way and found that road closed too for roadworks...so we went down and looked at the misty sea and had to run the car engine because it was so blooming cold.
Jno, my big sis has just had a bug that has run on and on (literally) She has been to the doc who says she just has to sit it out. I know! he actually said that!!
Its so cold and grey here no snow just miserable

Hi B00! Long time no speak. Yes we're a smaller gang but still hanging on in here. Not a fan of this new set up though. Hope you're ok. :)
Just you keep on resting neti or well be over to lock you in your bedroom with a pile of woman's weekly's and a tin bucket.
Good ole slippery elm food's what you need to get your digestion back on track. People I've recommended it to usually call me twice. Once to say they don't like the taste and the following day to say they feel better.

Morning all, I hear there's snow in UK, in London, Eastbourne and Devon so far and it's rather nippy here too! Am still tucked up in bed to keep warm and the heating bills born as I don't get my heating allowance anymore! Cold is dreadful, eyes watering and nose tickle, and I've found that I can sneeze through my mouth which is a great relief. I'd feel fine if it wasn't for this cold, Have to change the nose dressing later, wonder what I'll find, hope nose is a nice shape, although it is fat and piggishnat the moment! I can't believe people pay £1000s for this agony!
Morning...another dizzy day. I'm not taking any part of me outside again, I went to do the bird feeders and the bitterly cold air went right through my five layers. It's been snowing steadily for a while but hasn't settled. I've been up about 4hrs and could happily go back to bed.
Poor you neti, I don't know how I'd cope, I panic if I can't breathe through my nose.
Keep warm and stay at home all, the world can wait.

It has tried to snow here...about three tiny microballs. Birds are queuing up at the feeders today. Watched two long tailed tits take suet pellets, fly a short distance away and wedge them into branches on my winter honeysuckle then demolish them at leisure. Thought my eyes had deceived me the first time, but both birds did it and more than once...clever! My skinny robin who sticks his chin out is back as well.
Yes it's cold here also although I haven't been out, just got up. Nose was bleeding so we had to change the dressing , I was shocked, nose is HUGE and fat, literally felt sick! Cold is awful so that's not helping.
Robi I've been practising breathing through my mouth and couldn't but when needs must, it's OK! Eyes are still streaming and nose wants a good blow, but can't!

Well it's been thoroughly miz which wouldn't have been so bad if I'd felt like doing something but I've had rotten brain cramp all day. Good job I've only got one (and that's debatable) but I could do with a spare.
When my nephew was small he sent me a drawing of a skinny robin with long stik legs and a little poem ...something like this
I stop myself from sliding
Some bacon rind into the bin
It will do as a meal for the robin
His legs are so terribly thin.
I've still got it somewhere :)

Hello all
It's so cold and I can't seem to get warm today in spite of having the heating whacked up.It's been sleeting and is thoroughly gloomy.I thought I had the brain fog blurries earlier but then realised I was watching tele wearing my reading glasses:)
That all sounds most uncomfortable for you Neti.I hope you soon feel better, take it easy and keep in the warm.
Nothing doing otherwise .Keep warm folks .
