Unknown bush/shrub

We have this bush in the garden .When it comes into bloom it looks glorious and it's just starting now .However I have no idea what it is . It was here when we moved in nearly nine years ago .
Any offers ?

Morning all, cold here too and the house is so cold. Wish we had logs for the fire. Am still snotting my way through dressings but don't feel so bad today. It's Sta Eulalia day and a big fiesta and Im stuck in bed. Mr N is making roast lamb etc as a treat but I still cannot taste anything.

Mauritz is supposed to start ripping out our bathroom tomorrow (we did try to get Ginno but as usual he's too busy to return phone calls). I suppose I'll believe it when I see it, but meanwhile, apologies if I smell a bit for the next few days, facilities will be limited.

glad you are getting a bit better Neti. Jno, every time we’ve had something major done to the house, any house we have been in, the weather has turned cold..even at the height of summer. Its still cold and grey here. Have had a whole group of long tailed tits turn up this morning and do the take a piece of food and wedge it into a twig to eat trick...so clever I have never seen it before.

That's the good thing about my nose, I can't smell me! Haven't bathed since Friday, am having a bath today ,but can't wash hair which is sticking up like mochican. Mr N has just popped out for a coffee, he's going stir crazy, and is cooking a roast lamb when he comes home.

Same old weather ,cold and sleet .
Good luck with the bathroom ripping out in this lot Jno .I would be lost without a hot bath and was for several months when I had ye olde gammy leg.
Stay in bed Neti and get better .Can you not buy those ready made logs for the fire in Ibiza ? The ones covered in paper that you put a match to.We use those ,they burn for a couple of hours.
I'd love to see that Woofy.Birds are comical at times.It's so cold even my spadgers have given up bouncing around :)

Just eaten a lovely dinner even though I couldn't taste it is can tell sweet from vinegar and so on. Had a bath so feel more human again.
Do you mean brickets shaney. I doubt we have them here and if we did they would cost the earth. I love a bath, wouldn't be without!

Morning all, been to hospital looking like a war veteran, I wore a mask over my nose cos I looked like a pig, surgeon removed bungs, told me off for getting a cold, removed an external stitch which make me look as if I had cats whiskers ( thank you I have enough of my own without more added!) He stuffed in some more bungs for 5 mins, removed them, stuffed a camera up the nostrils and sent me home, perfect new nose no dressings but lots of mucous. Need a neti pot as have to rinse nostrils 4 times a day, but have used an eggcup which I sniffed from, I did not put the whole cup in nostril!
Have been cleaning and tidying and washing, ahh deep joy,

glad to hear you are on the mend Neti. Today I have done housework and been to M and S and shopped my brains out on groceries.

the bathroom wall has been stripped bare, then coated with something mastic to prevent any more damp, so we'll leave it to air for the night. Plus we've been to Homebase and picked up several thousand tiles to replace the old ones. It's still going to take another week or more till it's all done.

All I've done today is go to get my hair cut and that's it apart from mundane household stuff.I'm pleased to hear you're on the mend Neti.Don't overdo it though.
It was quite a nice day weather wise ,bright and sunny but that east wind was bitterly cold.Supposed to get a bit milder soon though.

Good morning biddies!
A new bathroom, heaven, Mr N does bathrooms and kitchens and we had a new one in 1992, and believe me it was a luxury as mum only had the bare necessities when she lived here. Same with kitchen, it was basic and peasantish with a huge Chimney breast and old brown tiles and furniture, we did it in white and yellow,,such a change! But the units here are crap and it all needs re doing as it is literally falling apart. Hate idea so will have took around again as he is supposed to be doing it!

Morning, here I is...still cold but bright again.
Not sure what happened to Sunday, I think I spent most of it on the phone, and yesterday sis phoned to ask if I wanted to help her choose some new specs. Guess who spent some more of her winnings?...the bad news being I haven't actuallywon anything more yet. Ended up coming home with two new designer pairs myself. Well it was bogof. I've got one colourful jazzy grandma pr and one serious don't mess with me pr. I didn't like the ones I chose last year at the local optician although the people in there are so lovely.

Pleased you're doing well neti...don't go mad. I confess I've never been to ikea.

Oh dear jno, is it a tin bath and bucket job during improvements? Hope it all goes smoothly. Love all the multi-national maintenance staff you have. :)

I've had a hand-held shower squatting in the bath, which was okay till I put the shower head down and it immediately flipped over and wet the newly sealed wall, but not too badly I hope. Mauritz will be back in another hour or so. Next time I think I'll just go out and stand in the rain.

I used to shower at a friends when Mr N was doing ours as it was completely gutted and changed around.
Just been out in the car to take the rubbish, I worked ok!
We don't have an Ikea here, you either have to go to Palma Mallorca, or order it online and collect it in Ibiza, but several times Mr N has had to fit them and they just dont measure up!

Brrr it's cold .That east wind is really bitter but at least it's bright ,not that I've been far in it .Going down to the letter box and getting the wheelie bin in was quite enough.
Nothing exciting here.No new bathrooms or specs although there will be new chs and other stuff when Sainsburys deliver later.

Very very cold here, the wheelie bin collecting sounds much more fun than the day i've had. I've been on a day's training course, to learn how to do the job i've been doing 10+ years, go figure!
